a sampling of the ceramic masks hanging on my backyard fence. The masks are made by a local potter named Faye. I’m attempting to transfer the Voodoo Mask idea into knitting. And I’m working with shades of brown.

I’m contemplating adding to my collection of interesting ceramics. Here is a ceramic of the head of an Onyx Gazelle.
Isn’t this a magnificent animal! Photo credit to Blogger A Bushsnob in Africa
We saw many animals of this ilk when we lived in Kenya back in the 1960’s and again in the 1990’s.
A ceramic artist here in Seattle recently had a display of his interpretation of different types of sheep horns. This show of ceramic sheep horns was very striking. My first impression was that they were rather gross – I kept going back to the local coffee shop (Grumpy D’s) to view them. And I have grown to like them more and more. Birthday and Christmas are coming and I have decided to treat myself. ……but the show is over. I think I can find the artist though – after all, he does live locally. The hunt is on.
