Victoria & Abdul. Wonderful performances by Judi Dench and Ali Fazal but very disappointing in its portrayal of everything else. I felt it was almost a parody of the British, Pity. Hats off to Consulata Boyle for her costume designing skills. (Consulata is a friend of a friend)
Rusalka by Antonin Dvorak Two weeks ago I went to see the New York Metropolitan Opera live performance of Dvorak’s opera Rusalka – live that is at the cinema. The Met at the cinema. What a treat.
This week the New York Met live performance at the cinema was Verdi’s La Traviata. Equally superb.
Opera Season at the cinema continues in 2 two weeks with Mozart’s Idemeneo. I hope to go!
