It has just dawned on me that with the Winter Solstice 2017 and Christmas 2017 behind us, it is almost time for tennis and the first of the Grand Slams, the Australian Open 2018. And what do I see in the sports pages of the newspaper? – football, football, football. Well the Seahawks Might make it to the Playoffs – let’s hope so! There is excitement yet.
Christmas Eve Snowfall December 25, 2017
Katerina’s paw prints
The snow came as I watched the Seahawks win over the Dallas Cowboys. An exciting game and crucial for the Seahawks to have any chance of reaching the playoffs this year. Go Seahawks.

When I knit I can also read. Today I finished reading a very good book. A Star for Mrs. Blake, by April Smith. This portrayed a little known aspect of World War I. This is sort of a footnote to history and reflects careful research. It is written with great sympathy and understanding. Gentle is a term I would apply to it. The author handles her characters delicately and yet honestly. 5 stars.
I can knit and watch television also. I’m getting ready for the Super Bowl on February 1st. This T-shirt arrived in the mail today. GO SEAHAWKS Seattle’s great football team. (American football that is – not to be confused with football in Europe and elsewhere in the world)
Scarf Number 12 – for the 12th Man fans of the Seattle Seahawks January 16, 2015
is this a lucky coincidence? My 12th scarf in my ongoing sequence of scarves. The 12th man is the HUGE supporters group for the Seattle Seahawks. The City is all abuzz for the game on Sunday. GO SEAHAWKS.
